SIPTU represent workers in both the public and private sector in almost every industry in Ireland and at virtually every level. SIPTU caters for full-time, part-time, permanent, contract and temporary workers, as well as retired and unemployed members.

Fórsa

Fórsa represents members in the public service, as well as the commercial sector, state agencies, some private companies and in the community and voluntary sector.

Fórsa is the second largest union on the island of Ireland and by far the largest trade union voice in the Irish civil and public service.

Connect

The Connect Trade Union is the largest Engineering Union in Ireland and the second largest in manufacturing representing up to 40,000 workers. Connect Trade Union membership is open to all categories of workers in technical, engineering and electrical employment’s. Membership for Apprentices is free.

ASTI

The ASTI is Ireland’s main second level teachers’ union and represents 20,200 teachers in community schools, community colleges, comprehensive schools and voluntary secondary schools.

INTO

The Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO), founded in 1868, is the oldest and largest teachers’ trade union in Ireland. It represents 45,156 teachers at primary level in the Republic of Ireland and 7,196 teachers at primary and post-primary level in Northern Ireland.

TUI

The Teachers’ Union of Ireland is a Trade Union organising teachers and lecturers in Ireland engaged in post-primary, higher and further education. TUI represents over 19,000 members in the education service. The Union is made up of 62 Branches in 19 Areas.

INMO

The INMO is Ireland’s leading trade union and professional organisation for nurses and midwives, representing over 43,000 nurses and midwives. We exclusively defend and represent the rights and interests of nurses and midwives working in both the public and private sector.

Mandate
